One of the proudest achievements of this year has been the successful continuation of the Post Graduate Development Programme (PGDP) at Raipur.

The PG Development Program of Central Psychiatric Society (IPS – Central Zone) was held on 12–13 July 2025, organized jointly by the Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS Raipur and the Chhattisgarh Psychiatric Society.

The Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony was Lt. Gen. Ashok Jindal, PVSM, Executive Director of AIIMS Raipur. The theme of the program was ‘Clinical Assessment in Psychiatry.’

The one-and-a-half-day event comprised lectures, demonstrations, role-plays, and interactive sessions, offering postgraduate trainees an enriching experience in clinical learning.

I am delighted to report that nearly 100 PG residents from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Uttarakhand participated enthusiastically, making the programme a resounding success.

We extend our heartiest congratulations to the dynamic young leader, Dr. Aditya Somani, Assistant General Secretary and Organising Secretary of PGDP, as well as to the Organising Chairperson Dr. Lokesh Singh and the entire dedicated organising team for their tireless efforts.
