The President, President-elect, Vice-President, Secretary-General, Treasurer, Editor and Imm. Past President are the office-bearers of the Association. All members of the Council are elected by the eligible voting membership of the Association. The Council members other than the office-bearers each serve a term of four years. The President and Vice President are elected for a period of two years (one term), while the Secretary General, Editor and Treasurer hold office for four years (two terms). The Editor and the Assistant General Secretary are appointed by the executive council of IASP.
